Fun, innovation and sustainability !
Hi !
We are Jean and Jérôme, founders of Bee-Connect.
Bee-Connect is a new-born, non-profit swiss society. We offer connected beehives to companies and private individuals.
Connected ? What does it mean ?
It’s a full-service concept : the customer directly recieves a beehive, ready to produce its own honey, and equiped with captors and cameras. It is linked to their smartphone, which allows to watch the bees from home. They also regularly get advice and help from a professionnal beekeeper !
The beehive can be set up in a garden, a park, or even a roof, which makes it adaptable to any environment, even cities !
Warning : bees in danger !
Thanks to a fun and modern device which combines urban beekeeping and high-tech, Bee-Connect wants to prevent bees from disappearing.
This phenomenon is more and more worrying. Each year, one third of bee colonies disappear in Europe, because of pesticides, diseases and threatening invasive species. It has very harmful consequences on biodiversity and human activities, because bees are pollinators and have a major role in plants reproduction.
Far from pesticides, urban beehives allow bees to live in a healthier environment and to produce high-quality honey. The constant supervision of the beehive thanks to captors and cameras allows to prevent the bees’ health problems before it’s too late.
What are the advantages of welcoming a beehive at home ?
You are accompanied in every step by a professionnal beekeeper, ready to talk about their knowledge and passion.
Beekeeping becomes a fun and unusual activity to practice with family and collegues.
Moreover, you produce your own high-quality honey. It becomes a high-class gift for your guests, clients or partners !
We need you to support our project and make it known !
