This No Land
A short Spaghetti Western with a surrealistic Belgian touch
About the project
“This No Land” is a short film.
A quirky, ambitious and surrealistic Western.
It is a film about Grandpa Sudoku, an old cowboy, and Laura, a tenacious six-year old girl, who are travelling to Disneyland together. On their journey through the desolate Western landscape, they encounter a number of interesting characters. At the end of the film, they all come together in a dramatic climax at a petrol station.
Belgian surrealism meets Spaghetti Western!
Or is it a Tapas Western?
The film will be shot in Spain and in Belgium, and filming is scheduled to take place in May and June.
Will director Alexander Decommere join the ranks of Clint Eastwood, Sergio Leone, John Ford and Quentin Tarantino?
YOU could help!
What are the funds for?
“This No Land” has received a grant from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund.
But we still need 15.000 euros to shoot the final scene at the petrol station!
We need this amount to rent camera and lighting equipment, set vehicles, a low loader to shoot the car scenes and a stuntman. But we also have to transform the petrol station into a film set, recruit extras and get two horses and a hen to the set!
