AIdol: Artificial Intelligence Idol - A Visual Novel

Idols are the most popular thing in the media and the rising idol production company Lyriq has a convention to run this weekend. There is only one catch: the virtual idol named Aiko is malfunctioning. Only one thing can fix Aiko, and that is finding the person who programmed her. But it isn’t easy for a sapient computer program to find her creator–that is, without help. That’s where superfan Hana and a ragtag team of convention attendees come in to save the day.

AIdol: Artificial Intelligence Idol is a visual novel that is programmed in Unity. Features include light character animations, panning backgrounds, and an interactive story involving a virtual idol, a PR team, and a pack of misfit convention attendees. Featuring relaxing, upbeat music as well as cute art, we hope this will be a visual novel to enjoy.

AIdol: Artificial Intelligence Idol features a relaxing and cute original soundtrack, which you can listen to a preview of here:

We were recently Greenlit on Steam Greenlight! Thank you for your support!

Don’t have a Kickstarter account? That’s okay! We will have Paypal pledges after the Kickstarter Campaign.

AIdol is a visual novel that features a large cast. Let’s meet the characters now! Melow has done a wonderful job creating cute designs and illustrations that fit the theme of AIdol perfectly.

You may sample a small introduction to the story. We hope it holds your interest and gives you an idea of how the game operates. The demo can be found on our page! Available on the following platforms:

While the demo is about a half hour to an hour long, the full game will be approximately five hours long or more, depending on the individual player’s reading speed. The visual novel has an approximate wordcount of 75,000.

We need to pay our creative team for their efforts. By absorbing most of the costs ourselves, we hope to minimize the amount of funds needed in order to reduce risk for our backers. Therefore we are asking for $2000.

$1500 will go to the art and the rest will go towards programming and Kickstarter fees.

We have made decent headway into completing the game. The script is completed, as is proofreading. The sprites, GUI, and backgrounds are complete. The basic music is also done. All that’s left is the CGs and tying everything together in the freshly completed Talemason Engine.

Pledge and you can receive the following, depending on how much you pledge! Please note that to save on costs and better focus on the game itself, we have decided to cut physical items from our rewards.

We will unveil stretch goals as we get closer to the initial goal of funding. Thank you for your patience!

Pixel Pineberry Studios is the creative force behind AIdol. The team, as well as a few freelancers, hopes to bring AIdol from us to you

TaleMason Interactive graciously provided us with the programming and engine for AIdol.

Mystery Corgi, or Morgana, is the head of Pixel Pineberry and the original creator of AIdol. She has assisted in the writing, programming, and other creative tasks of various visual novels. Some of her previous works include Afterthought Studios’ A More Beautiful WorldForgotten, Not Lost, and When Our Journey Ends. Look forward to her upcoming project Connection Pending.

ebi-hime is the writer who helped make the script of AIdol a reality. She has penned a good many visual novels. Some of her previous works include The Way We All GoAsphyxia, and Sweetest Monster.

Melow is the artist who helped bring the GUI and characters of AIdol to life. She has drawn for several visual novels, including When Our Journey Ends,  Chronotopia, and Once on a Windswept Night

JWhitney is the artist who is helping us touch up our background art for AIdol. She has worked on Caramel Mokaccino as an assistant artist.

Mock Off is the musician who composed the soundtrack for AIdol. He has lent his talent to Syrup and the Ultimate SweetSickness, and Sweetest Monster. Look forward to his work in the upcoming project Connection Pending.

All creative projects come with some amount of risk, however we have done our best to mitigate that risk. By absorbing the majority of the costs for the game we can focus on funding the art. Without the art, we cannot publish the game, so there is our main risk.

Having had the game almost completed at the time of our Kickstarter launch, we have navigated past some of the most common pitfalls to not seeing a project through.

If you are interested in our project or want to learn more about us, please visit us on any of our social media pages! We also wish to be as transparent as possible, so please feel free to contact us any time for questions or concerns.
