Set In the near future, the film follows a soldier who must prove his loyalty to a totalitarian government by serving as a one-man firing squad.
The film is an examination of moral choice, and the lengths one must go to for survival.
With your help, we will be able to pull off a high quality production that you and I can both be proud of. The money donated to to this campaign will go to things such as crew/actor pay, production design, insurance, equipment rental, catering and film festival submission fees.
By donating to our campaign, you will be eligible for a number of perks, including copies of my previous films, credits in the film, and a full sized print of the film’s poster.
H. Patrik Coyne as Lawrence:
Lawrence is a soldier torn between his instilled values and the lengths he traverse for survival.
Patrik is one my closest collaborators. Over the last three years, he and I have worked together on many projects. Nearly all of my films have featured him in some way, and he will always be one of my most trusted collaborators.
During his time working in the industry, he’s had roles in several shows on Investigation Discovery and was even featured on an episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Ford Fanter as Richard:
Richard, Lawrence’s Brother, is a stubborn, moral absolutist who’s uncompromising nature drives a wedge between him and his brother.
Ford Fanter is one of Saint Louis’s most prolific actors and filmmakers. His hardwork and his love of the craft is apparent in any role in which he pursues, both behind and in front of the camera. In any of the 20+ acting credits to his name, it’s easy to see why he’s such a sought after talent.
Richard Strelinger as Captain Wilson:
Wilson is a manipulative and calculating commander, unwilling to allow even the slightest transgression pass unpunished.
Richard Strelinger is a dedicated and artful actor. With a strong background in theater, he’s spent years perfecting a careful and focused approach to his trade. His dedication to his projects goes beyond the performance on the screen. In working with him, he often demonstrates a sincere interest in helping shape the important creative elements of the piece to make the final product as impactful as possible.
I’m a Saint Louis based Cinematographer/Director from the small town of Mascoutah, Illinois. Since my early teen years I’ve been making films with my family and friends. This ultimately led me to pursue a degree in film production at Webster University, where I’m currently enrolled as a senior.
During my time at Webster, I’ve directed a number of films, and DP’d a little more than two dozen. My work has also expanded into the professional realm, where I’ve crewed on feature films, commercials, and music videos.
As a director, I’m mostly inspired by the work of Nicolas Winding Refn, Jeremy Saulnier, and Lucio Fulci. My cinematography is mostly inspired by Michael Slovis, Tonino Delli Colli, and Hoyte van Hoytema.
For a small selection of my work check out my imdb page here, and my cinematography reel here.
Filmmaking is labor intensive and financially draining.
When making a film it’s easy for production costs to sky rocket, and with our tight schedule everything has to be in fine balance to work. Our greatest challenge is to keep control over our expenditures without losing what we need to make the film work, and without making the experience unfairly difficult over the cast/crew.
But by doing rigorous pre-production we hope to offset the likelihood of these risks, By precisely scheduling, creating camera/lighting diagrams, and collaborating with knowledgeable we’ll be able to keep our risks in check.
I understand that not everyone can contribute financially. But you can still support us by sharing the page on social media, and telling your friends/family about the campaign.
Thanks for your time.
