Hipólito is 45 years old. He is married and lives with his wife and his two children in a community in La Esperanza, Intibucá. He has always worked in agriculture growing potatoes, and 9 years ago decided to grow coffee. He grows his crops on his property and sells his harvest locally. He now earns his income from his coffee farm. He is now requesting a loan, as part of a group, to buy fertilizer, seeds, and manure to support his coffee crop. His goal is to continue growing coffee so that his sales will increase and his family will feel satisfied, and to improve his home.
The group is called San Miguel II, and has five members who live in the same area and work growing coffee. The group loan is for 64,500 lempiras to buy seeds, manure and fertilizer for their crops. In the photo from the left are Fredy, Reyes, Hipolito, and Wilson, and Francisco on the right.
