Zaw is a 37-year-old farmer who lives in Dala Township. There are five members in his family. His son is studying at grade 5 and his daughter is studying in grade 3. He likes doing farming and he has been doing it for over 10 years.
Farming is the only business for his family. He owns 10 acres of land. He grows only monsoon paddy rice every year. He normally grows “Khon Ni” and “Taoung Pyan” types of paddy. Each year he keeps 20 baskets of rice for another season. His farm can produce 500 baskets of paddy rice after harvesting.
Before he sells the rice, he normally researches different prices and then he chooses the best price for selling. He uses the profits from farming for his family living and for his children’s education.
He joined SOO in 2016 and received his first loan from SOO. He will use this second loan from SOO to buy fertilizer and pay for labor fees. He likes working with SOO more than other money lenders because he can get the loan with lower interest rates. He thanks SOO for supporting farmers and providing good services. He would like to continue working with SOO in the future.
