A project by: Working in Tandem
This summer, Working in Tandem are aiming to raise £2000 to refurbish and perform urgent repairs at the KCEM (Kituo Cha Elimu Meserani) education centre. This will be amazing to keep this awesome free education centre open for the people of Meserani.
Working in Tandem is a student led group at the University of Nottingham. Our dedicated group of volunteers raise money throughout the year in a range of sponsored events to fund staffing and running costs of the education centre.
We remain as dedicated as ever to the project and each summer students visit Tanzania to teach and provide much valued support to the centre staff and students.
In 2005, students from University of Nottingham went to Tanzania with a vision of building a free education centre for the local community. Over 10 years later, the student group and education centre are still going strong! This wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support from students at University of Nottingham and all those that visited Tanzania over the years!
To ensure the success continues into a second decade, urgent repairs are needed and we are fundraising to cover the costs. Any money raised will mean that:
We are calling out to all our past and present supporters, to join us in contributing to this much loved and valued education centre and providing the best chance of running successfully for many years to come. Any money you donate will make a real difference!
Please share this project with your friends and family.
