Fight for Owen
This year Jasmine Hyde, Rhys Robinson & Myself are participating in the Perth Corporate Rumble @ The Perth Convention Centre on Saturday April 1st. As a part of our 8 Week training program we have decided to raise some much needed funds for our friends the DiCandilo’s, who have a very special boy named Owen.
Owen was born with a rare genetic brain malformation condition called Lissencephaly, which has left him severely disabled. Being told he may never sit, crawl, walk or talk has been devastating for his family but they are driven to provide him with the best therapy and determined to maximise his development. We have come together to support Owen and his family.
We would love to be able to help them in some way as the list of medical costs is never ending for both therapy and equipment. Owen attends daily therapy and needs assistance and 24 hour care with everything he does.
Our goal is to raise $8,000 for the DiCandilo’s which could assist in paying for much needed therapy or buying a piece of equipment to improve Owen’s quality of life.
This would provide around 50 hours of therapy – either Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech, feeding or communicaiton therapy.
OR
Purchasing the all-terrain beach wheelchair for Owen to be able to enjoy the water and the outdoors, which he loves so much.
We are all really motivated to support Owen and his family and ask that you get behind us too.
