In 2015, half of all Brits tried to lose weight, with 64% of those dieting all or most of the time. With a never ending number of diets to follow, healthy eating can be confusing. Diet plans take time, which can be hard when living a busy life.
Nutrifix aims to take away this stress by becoming your very own personal nutritionist. In our opinion, current nutrition apps are either retrospective or require a large amount of planning and organisation. Nutrifix is designed to be quick and easy to use and is proactive – it makes personalised meal suggestions to make or buy, and we are working on a delivery feature.
In November we were invited onto Just Eat’s inaugural food tech accelerator. With Just Eat investing £20,000 in our business and mentoring us for 10 weeks.
Since we started developing the idea in August last year, we have acquired data for over 3,500 meals from nearly 9,700 locations and 69 vendors. We launched the MVP to the app store mid-Jan 2017 and have had a great start, acquiring 770 users in the first month with no marketing spend.
We also write a regular blog with health tips for busy people, for which we have over 1,200 subscribers to. As well as over 3,500 followers across our social media channels.
