Monique Potter’s Debut EP
I’m an Adelaide born singer-songwriter who now calls Sydney home!
As a trained performer with a background in acting, I’ve performed professionally in an array of both national and international festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, Bogota Festival, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Arts Festival. Over the years I have worked in various cover and tribute bands, fuelling my love for singing and performance but not quite filling that little pocket I have tucked away inside me that yearns to have a bit of air space!
I am working with Australian Music Producers and Audio Engineers, Stewart Havill and James Englund from Crash Symphony Productions to get my tracks laid down for this debut EP!!!!! These talented producers have worked with many well-known artists including Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, Elton John and Sting. As you probably know, studio time can be quite costly and although I am covering much of these expenses myself, I really want this project to be done right, so there are a few extra costs that I could use a hand with!
Bottom line – I’m not getting any younger and it’s time to record my own music! Yes. It. Is.
Thank you for your support, you good people!
How The Funds Will Be Used
Studio time including sound engineering:
1 hour = $110+GST
6 hours = $600+GST
12 hours = $960+GST
$100 +GST per instrument per song
(With 3-4 instruments per song this will add up very quickly)
This is quite a big undertaking on my part but I think it is realistic one. I know nothing ever goes according to plan but I’m willing to ride this one out because I’m sure that in the end I will have something that will make not only me but hopefully others, proud. This will be a colossal tick off my bucket list!
