Ray is Chief Executive of Bango, the only open, global platform that gives content providers fast and easy access to the huge opportunity presented by the emergence of the mobile internet.
He co-founded Bango in 1999 after realising that the convergence of internet connectivity with the ubiquity of mobile phones could open up huge opportunities for content and service providers.
Formerly at IXI, Ray established the industry standard network GUI – X.desktop. IXI was an early leader in the creation of the web. It sponsored the first ever WWW conference at CERN and shipped the world’s first commercial web browser. In 1993 The company merged with SCO and then floated on NASDAQ.
Ray continued held senior executive roles in SCO, including general manager, senior VP of New Ventures and senior VP world-wide of Marketing, where he played a key role in driving the turnaround of the business, and its repositioning from small business Unix to becoming the industry standard for Intel Unix.
Andy is currently VP Product Marketing at Bango, where he is responsible for the interface between the Bango products and markets; considering product requirements, positioning and promotion. He leads the company’s product proposition and strategy.
Andy has over 12 years experience within the global internet market, working for both start-ups and established brands. He has been active with the World Wide Web from its inception and was involved in the first web conference, at CERN in 1994. Andy integrated a wide range of web technologies into the X-desktop product range for IXI Ltd; he introduced the world to the Web-based Desktop (Webtop) at SCO; and designed the first web-based remote application access solutions for Tarantella Inc., allowing remote and mobile workforces to use mission critical applications from centrally located Unix, Linux and Windows servers over the Internet.
Richard is the founder of WorkSnug and an expert commentator on workplace technology trends. He has particular expertise in the expectations and technology use of the next generation and how technology, design and architecture can be harnessed to provide workspaces conducive to work in the 21st Century.
Richard spent several years as Head of Knowledge at the think-tank Unwired Ventures, edits a range of publications and is a widely published writer. He has written for publications such as The Guardian, Director Magazine, The Times Educational Supplement, FX Magazine, Mix and Silicon.com. In addition, he provides strategic guidance to a range of companies including Imano, a leading mobile application developer.
Martin directs the Worldwide Sales Team at fast growing Bango, the global leader making it easy to do business on the mobile web. Bango provides simple access, information and payment solutions to companies selling digital content on the mobile web.
He is a seasoned sales management professional with many successful years selling IT solutions to the corporate world. Extensive sales experience at Sun Microsystems, iii, NCR and Torch Computer Corporation.
