On any given night, an estimated 300 youth are homeless in Greater Manchester for a range of reasons such as abuse, neglect, mental illness, substance abuse, strained relationships, gender or sexual identity, and poverty. They are at great risk and suffer many consequences.
Child and Family Services helps over 1,500 runaway, homeless and at-risk youth, per year, providing them with the BASIC ELEMENTS FOR SURVIVAL and the STUFF WITH WHICH TO SUCCEED.
On Friday, March 24, 2017, in a show of solidarity, members of the community will once again sleep out in Stanton Plaza in downtown Manchester, NH, to raise awareness and funds to help homeless youth.
Proceeds from this event help to fulfill basic needs such as food, clothing, and access to shelter and medical care, and will support mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational advocacy, job search, independent living skill-building, and housing.
IT IS OUR HOPE to END YOUTH HOMELESSNESS by 2020! We’re on our way…and we can get there with YOUR HELP. There are two things you can do right now: SLEEP WITH US or GIVE TO US! Just click JOIN or DONATE. Really easy. Really important. Really, Really makes a difference!
THANK YOU!!!!!!
