Let me show you how can save ALL animals on Earth in the next generation with one documentary film and one book.
The revolutionary idea behind the entire project is to introduce Animals in Modern History education into the school curriculum worldwide. The project is partly supported by Tom Regan’s Culture & Animals Foundation. In the book “The Case for Animal Rights” (1985) Regan writes: ‘What’s wrong – fundamentally wrong – with the way animals are treated isn’t the details that vary from case to case. It’s the whole system.’ Did you know that before WWII 97% of all German public school teachers, some 300,000 person, had joined the National Socialist Teachers League by 1936. In fact, more teachers joined the Nazi Party in than from any other profession. What Adolf Hitler knew almost a century ago, most of the people from the animal rights/conservation/environment movement do not understand. We can beat an entire system only if we start from the very beginning: school education.
If you will take a moment to consider it, this project is worth much more than many of the elaborate campaigns being run by major organizations. It is very easy to teach about animals in culture, their rights and welfare, and veganism with an animal history component in the standard History curriculum.
The history of how humans have treated animals should be taught along with our other crimes. Teaching world history without acknowledging the role of animals is an education based on false principles, which ultimately plays out dramatically in our treatment of the entire environment.
I’m sure that the introduction of animal education in schools is necessary to win a battle for animals and humans on Earth in the long term. With this powerful educational tool we can save ALL animals in the next generation!
This is the world’s greatest animal movie/education project ever. This is literally true.
Animals do not have the power of speech and their fate is not taught in schools. This film is a modest attempt to show people the history they share with us, how animals decreased in importance over the last 200 years, and became ordinary machines for food and experiments.
This condition continues to worsen every day and a majority of the human population is not familiar with the horrific facts, while the history of animals covered in a veil of secrecy.
The invention of film marked the beginning of the modern age. The story of the first film is simple; it shows a horse rider galloping. Like many times before, man and animal were participants in the history of mankind – a history which has forgotten about animals. Animals are brutally exploited, hunted and eaten. But how did we get into this situation, our generally accepted reality? How did we build this brutal and selfish world that has become hell for animals? This is our film’s premise.
Between black and white segments we set comments from animal rights activists. We established cooperation with many animal rights activist productions from around the world who participate with interviews in the film, like Robbyne Kaamill (Free Lolita), Halevy Jane (International Anti-Fur), Sasha Bojoor (269), Anita Krajnc (Toronto Pig Save), Gary Yourofsky, Tom Regan, and many more.
We’d like to make much more fantastic animations between all the black & white segments. We want stylistic perfection pleasant to the eye, and with animated graphs/statistics. Since 50% of the film is made, now our main goal is to raise the funds to complete this spectacular animation, and enter the race for the Academy Award! We also want to colorize old black & white segments with animals for the first time, make animated statistics and charts, and complete new narration/ sound editing. Also, we need interview footage with schoolchildren and teachers about the animal history education idea.
The documentary is also available in a beautiful picture and poster book version, “Animals in Modern History,” soon to be published. The book is a very important part of our project: it is not the ordinary non-fiction picture book, but an essential tool for schools and teachers!
