SDG Media Zone Partners with Every Women Every Child at ECOSOC Youth Forum to Support Youth Marketplace on Social Innovations for Health and Wellbeing

The SDG Media Zone, reporting from the sixth ECOSOC Youth Forum on January 30th and January 31st at the United Nations, partners with Every Women Every Child to support the event Youth Marketplace on Social Innovations for Health and Wellbeing—Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals taking place on January 31st 9am – 10am.

The Youth Marketplace on Social Innovations for Health & Wellbeing to achieve the SDGs will highlight the role of youth as custodians of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in promoting health and wellbeing in a changing world.

Moderated by Ms. Trisha Shetty, UN SDG Young Leader and Founder & CEO, SheSays, it will be a dynamic one-hour pitching session combined with live digital interactivity to discuss the challenges faced by young people to achieve sustainable development.

The event, in the margins of the ECOSOC Youth Forum, will be webcast by UNTV (www.webtv.un.org), connecting young people in the SDG Media Zone and with youth around the world. It will highlight the transformative power of meaningful youth engagement, with opening remarks by the President of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Ambassador Peter Thomson, and the participation of young innovators pitching their ideas to improve health and wellbeing, and achieve the SDGs including ACT!2015, She’s the First, WHYFARM and emp(a)t(h)y.

Panelists include: Mr. Niels Caszo, President, AIESEC International; Prof. Chris Dickey, Global Professional Studies and Entrepreneurship Director, NYU; Lic. María Fernanda Olvera Cabrera, Director General, INJUVE; Ms. Irem Tumer, Youth Innovator Fellow, UNFPA.

The event will also count on the participation of H.E. Ms. Solveig Horne, Minister of Children and Equality, Norway.
