BrewDog Bond
BrewDog is the UK’s leading craft brewer, and one of the fastest growing food and drink companies in the UK for the last 6 years, owning breweries in Ellon, Scotland and Columbus, Ohio. BrewDog has 50 craft beer bars around the world, and flagship beer Punk IPA is the No. 1 craft beer in the UK.
BrewDog was started in 2007 by two men and a dog. Tired of the staid and uninspiring beer scene in the UK, the pair started brewing small batch beers at home, and bottling by hand. A chance encounter with the late beer writer, Michael Jackson, resulted in cofounders James Watt & Martin Dickie quitting their day jobs to take on brewing full time.
Fast forward 9 years, BrewDog is now one of the most successful food & drinks companies in the UK, being named on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list 5 years running. The Aberdeenshire brewery’s flagship beer, Punk IPA is the #1 craft beer in UK supermarkets and BrewDog’s beers are available in 60+ countries. BrewDog has also opened a series of craft beer bars around the world, with 31 in the UK and a further 19 overseas as far afield as Brazil, Japan, Sweden, Italy and beyond.
Known not only for its bold, uncompromising, flavourful beer, BrewDog has reached audiences far and wide with its innovative and unrestrained marketing. As opposed to spending heavily on above the line advertising, BrewDog has repeatedly found ways to rack up column inches with its alternative, educational and entertaining takes on beer. From brewing a beer at the bottom of the North Sea to storming the bank of England with a tank to launching its record-breaking Equity for Punks crowdfunding programme, BrewDog’s reputation is as worth talking about as its beer.
