The on-demand/sharing economy just got a whole lot bigger. Meet Sipody.
Built on core principles of boosting local business, establishing trust, building connections, and accountability for all, Sipody is still in the development stages. Led by a highly experienced team, Sipody will soon become THE platform for booking services — from house cleaning to personal training.
Read on to see how it works!
The idea for Sipody was formed when our founder was looking through GumTree www.gumtree.com.au (an online classifieds similar to Craigslist) to find a cleaner for his home. It was tough — he realized there was no way to verify the credibility of any of these people.
With Sipody, you don’t need to ask questions like this anymore.
After that unfruitful search on GumTree, our founder realized that there were so many industries being revolutionized by the sharing/on-demand economy model, so why not expand that into any and all service imaginable?
Sipody is a marketplace for connecting people who want to earn extra money with people looking for trustworthy, well-reviewed, and tested workers.
There’s no limit to the types of services that Sipody can facilitate:
The Bi-lateral Community Rating
The Sipody bi-lateral community rating will be one of the most important features of the website. Clients will rate service providers and vice versa, a la Airbnb or Uber. Service providers will be encouraged to foster a high score to assist them in gaining more work from other customers. Sipody will create a culture whereby people want to protect their high ratings, thus encouraging excellent services.
Sipody provides an online booking system for people that require any kind of service in their area — from busy stay at home parents to on-the-go professionals, students, and travelers.

Sipody also enables credit card payments to avoid the hassle of cash, and protects the user by ensuring they don’t have to pay until they are happy the job is completed correctly.
Here’s an example of how Sipody works:
Sipody is free to use for both people looking to hire services and also service providers! The only time money changes hands is when a service transaction takes place.
Our focus is on creating a rock solid beautiful website first and then aggressively launch a major pre and post launch marketing campaigns.
We have a highly-skilled team in place, and we’re ready to pull the trigger and start product development. We will build our platform in Australia and roll it out initially in Toronto as this is the perfect demographic for Sipody to grab hold and expand.
After product development and beta testing is complete, we have a marketing and advertising firm in place to help with the rollout.
After reading about our team below, make sure to request access to the business plan tab of the profile for an inside look into Sipody and to learn how you can get involved!
