Asmat’s story

Asmat is 45 years old woman. She lives in a small house with her family within a slum located in Gujranwala, Pakistan. She has worked as an embroiderer for the last two years. She is very artistic and dedicated to her work, and her customers are well-pleased with it.

Asmat has requested a 30,000 PKR loan through Kiva’s field partner JWS Pakistan to buy additional fabric and materials such as threads, needles, pearls and other items needed in her craft. With a good inventory of materials she will be able to meet last-moment orders.
