Buckt – the UK’s only subscription box inspired by the idea of a bucket list! Pledge for top rewards and help us make this happen. Thanks!
Yeah, the guy in our video is dressed as a penguin. Why? Well, you’ll have to watch it to find out ;).
Buckt is the UK’s only subscription box and digital community inspired by the idea of a bucket list.
Each month our awesome subscribers get 8-10 bucket list activities delivered to their door, broken down into the following:
Why are we crowdfunding? – Buckt is a unique idea that 94% of those surveyed during our research either like or really like (wahooo). We need a bit of cash to help us get the ball rolling.
Where do you operate? – We will launching in the West Midlands in Jan 2017, London in Aug 2017 and the East Mids and North England in Jan 2018.
How much will it cost? – At the moment we have two packages: our Ultimate package and our Membership package. Our Ultimate package includes everything listed above and prices range from £15-25 per month depending on how long you subscribe. Our Membership package is our digital offering (which gets delivered to your inbox) and just includes the invitations and challenges and costs £15 for the full year.
Who is Buckt for? – We have tested the types of activities we will include in our boxes with those of all ages and truly believe it is suitable for 18 year olds all the way up to 60 year olds (although initially, our marketing will be targeting those aged 18-30). We will also have a couples offer as our research tells us most people will subscribe with at least one other person.
Who have we already got signed up? – Without revealing all of our cards (don’t forget, it’s meant to be a surprise!) these are some of the names already signed up: Planet Ice, YogaHaven, HeliAdventures (helicopter tours), GolfBug, CounterAct (local live music).

Every business has a story and often they are born out of a personal experience in the founder’s life. Buckt is no exception.
About a year ago, I (Dan) came out of a long-term relationship. The reality of the situation had hit me and – honestly – I was pretty down in the dumps.
I can’t remember why – whether I’d read something online or what – but one day I woke up and decided to write a bucket list: things I wanted to achieve by the end of 2016; everything I wanted to do but hadn’t had the chance.
Honestly, it was pretty therapeutic. It made me forget about the situation I was in, think ahead and gave me something to look forward to. On my first Valentine’s Day single, you know what I did? Threw myself off a 160ft crane (I was attached to a bungee cord thankfully!) I wouldn’t have done that, or gone to yoga, or taken part in a cocktail masterclass, or gone on a lads holiday, or adopted a tiger, or rode a horse, or meditated and so many other cool things without writing the bucket list.
A few weeks later I was thinking about an idea I had whilst at university about a ticket subscription box and then it clicked… What about a bucket list subscription box?
A bucket list is a really cool concept. It means so many different things to different people: escape, excitement, a way to forget about getting old, fulfilment of a desire to try new things. For me, it gave me hope. Buckt will mean something different to every person that subscribes to it in the same way that a bucket list means something different to every person that has one. It is for that reason – the way it can make people happy in so many different ways – why I truly believe Buckt will be something special.
The money from the crowdfunder will help us get our first set of subscribers and will allow us to launch the business in January.
At certain milestones during the crowdfunder (and beyond if we hopefully reach our target) a special event or activity will take place. These may be challenges for our co-founders or special prizes for one or two lucky pledgers (which will be drawn at random).
