Akimbo Visa Prepaid Card
The Akimbo Card is a novel payment account designed to increase interactivity and control with everyday transactions at merchants and with friends. Using Visa Prepaid as a platform, Akimbo enables instant money transfers between cards and offers immediate accessibility of funds anywhere Visa debit is accepted and at ATMs everywhere. Akimbo cardholders can also send funds via email, Facebook, and text (SMS) delivering a pre-loaded Akimbo Card account to the recipient. The Akimbo Card is a great budgeting tool and helps you keep your bank account safe when shopping online or when traveling.

Prior to his involvement in Akimbo, Houston was an Associate in the Fixed Income Strategy Group at J.P. Morgan in New York, where he provided strategy to clients for the Mortgage-Backed Securities Group and later the U.S. Treasuries and Interest Rate Derivatives Team during the tumultuous years of 2007 and 2008. Houston received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Northwestern University.
Founder and former CEO of Sweet Leaf Tea Company, one of the fastest growing beverage companies in the US, with over $60M in sales and 100+ employees. Nestle purchased Sweet Leaf in June of 2011. Clayton is currently co-founder and CEO of Deep Eddy Vodka and co-founder and Chairman of Rhythm Superfoods. Clayton won the 2006 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Central Texas, the 2010 AU40 Austinite of the Year Award, AU40 Business and Entrepreneurship Award, and the Austin Business Journal’s Best CEO Award for 2011.

Matt Decker is a Systems Administrator and Senior Web Applications Developer with over 12 years experience covering all aspects of product life cycle development. Prior to his involvement in Akimbo, Matt co-founded and served as CTO of Interganic, Inc, a design and development firm based in San Antonio, TX. Matt has also worked in a lead technology role at one Austin’s top interactive agencies, producing PHP & ASP.NET based websites for diverse clientele including numerous Fortune 500 companies. He has received several technology related awards including the 2008 Venn Award for his work with British Petroleum (BP).
Senior Vice President Development
Todd Mayberry is an Anthropologist that focuses on Information Architecture and serves as the intermediary between designers and
programmers. Todd previously co-founded and served as COO of Interganic, Inc. Todd has previously worked as a GIS technician in local
government and abroad as a private consultant.
General Information Technology
Michael Peterson is a Senior System Architect with diversified experience with startups, worldwide hotel reservations systems, and global
financial payment processors. Prior to his involvement in Akimbo, Michael worked as a programmer at GenaRes, a Senior Systems
Engineer at MPOWER Labs, and as Director of Operations at Prodigy Communications.
