Obesity in the US is at an all-time high. Kids are tabbed to have shorter life spans than their parents for first time in US history. Change is needed. Yet, the vending industry largely stands still offering the same junk items in plastic boxes with little to no updated technology.
In 1990, the highest rate of obesity in any given state was 14%. Some states, like Nevada, didn’t even have enough data to compile a percentage.
Fast forward to 2016 and obesity rate in any given state is 20-24%, with a number of states in the South and Midwest above 30%!
