Adorable and fun scarves with designs based on actual caterpillars! Stay warm and learn about nature with these beautiful scarves!
WiggleWarmers are scarves. They’re beautiful scarves. They’re beautiful, educational, fun, super neat, awesome scarves….and they’re made in England….by the British.
Wiggle Warmers are scarves with patterns based off of those naturally found on caterpillars.
I went camping about 6 months ago, and there were thousands of these beautiful caterpillars all over the ground, all over the car, the tent— everything. The first thing I noticed was that their pattern looked like a bunch of penguins.
I became obsessed with them. I took a ton of photos of them, researched them, drew them, read everything I could about them— and then I wanted to see what other caterpillars were out there. What other patterns could I find…and I found a lot of cool patterns.
I couldn’t help but wonder— why don’t people use these patterns more? I instantly knew I had a chance to make something cool— Something that would start conversations and make us interested in nature again. Something that would educate us, but still be fun…and that’s WiggleWarmers.
Every scarf comes with a card that tells you what caterpillar your scarf is based off of, and some interesting facts about it. It’s the perfect gift for anyone. It’s educational, it’s fun, it’s bright…and simplest of all, it’s a great quality scarf that keeps you warm.
A survey will be sent to you shortly after the Kickstarter is completed to collect information, including which scarf design(s) you’d like.
The scarves will be made in the UK and the information cards in the US. It’s very important to me that every part of this project is made with high quality materials by people making living wages.
The scarves are 100% Acrylic
Since samples of the scarves have already been ordered and I am happy with the look and quality of them, the only thing left to do is send clothing tags to the manufacturer and get the cards printed.
A delay from the tag manufacturer or the scarf manufacturer could mean a delay on shipping to you– and if that is the case I should know well in advance of the January 2017 deadline I’ve set for shipping these out and be able to inform you.
