My name is Jamie Morales, I am from Santiago, Puerto Rico. I use to work as a speech therapist for the public sector, but after having several payments delayed I decided to quit and start my own business. Two years ago I established my furniture business – building pieces and decorations from recycled materials. I started selling my products through my facebook page while working from home. Later I rented a small space that I use as a showroom to sell my pieces and attract new clients. I also host workshops and show other people how to create their own pieces. Most of the furniture I made however is custom-made. I work at the shop with my husband but as demand increases, the space is feeling small and we need a larger location that will allow us to grow and serve our customers better

More about this loan
My business is Creaciones Pallets, it is an artisanal furniture store in Santiago, Puerto Rico.
I make custom designed furniture and decorations from recycled material. We have had a lot of happy clients, and our business is growing fast. As demand increases our current resources aren’t enough to serve all of our customers as we would like. Helping us fund this loan will allow us to expand at a faster rate and effectively sell to our recurring and new customers.
What is the purpose of this loan?
This loan will allow us to buy better machines, afford a larger space and hire more employees that could improve our work – time, quality and quantity. We want to create jobs and we need financial help to achieve this. We also work on local wood that we sell in consignment stores. Our long-term model forecasts exporting internationally, creating an online website (to create a digital catalogue), create a solid brand, have a larger shop, purchase machinery and increase our sales little by little.
