My name is Karen Braveheart, and I’m the CEO and Founder of Prodigi Kids. Prodigi Kids is a socially conscious, kids/consumer product startup. I am launching our 1st product called Adi – the Stay-Put Plate. I’m originally from New York City and have lived in San Diego now with my 3 kids for 11 years. Before becoming an entrepreneur, I had a successful career in retail sales and as an attorney. I earned my B.A. degree in English from Rutgers University and my J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law. I practiced law in New York for 10 years prior to moving to San Diego and learned the ins and outs of running a successful business. I am a designer at heart and the idea for Adi came to me when my daughter was 18 months old. Every parent of a young child knows that when it comes to eating with a toddler, mealtime can be a total disaster. While dining out one day, she pulled a self-adhesive placemat full of food off the table and hurled it in the air like frisbee. Food went flying everywhere and landed on a man seated at the table behind us. There were peas stuck in his hair, meatballs on his head, and his nice white dress shirt was covered with spaghetti and red sauce. In that moment, the idea for Adi was born. Adi, the Stay-Put Plate is about so much more than the perfect mealtime solution. It’s about giving a parent or caregiver a peaceful experience with their child. Parenting is tough enough. Think of a world where great product design removes the stressful obstacles to parenting and allow parents to focus on what matters most: creating moments of love and connection between parent and child at mealtime. With your help we can make a lasting change possible for families every day. Prodigi Kids is needed now as much as ever.
