In our Township schools are experiencing a low passing rate and most of those who do pass are passing with relatively low marks to enter universities. Many of those students who have passed enter higher educational institutions not knowing what they want to further their studies in. Research also indicates that they lack nowledge regarding financial assistance for higher learning institutions. One of the problems which causes high rate of failure is lack of educational resources and educational support.

More about the project
The Center will serve many purposes: it will assist patrons that need additional educational support; it will provide parents and students with a safe and stable after-school environment; and will serve the community by keeping youth from engaging in unwanted, dangerous, or illegal behaviors.
At the very least, a homework help center offers kids a designated place to go after school where they can get help with their classwork. At its best, the program offers positive human interaction and scholastic support that might otherwise be missing from a youngster’s life The Centre will operate afterschool, it will assist the students with their homework, there will be tutors of different subjects. The Centre will also run life skills program. One of our programmes will be career advice and subject selection advice, recreational activities such as drama, poetry and sport. The Centre will also encourage reading; a book club will be amongst the activities done.
The Centre intends to prepare learners for university, working environment and open their minds to be self-employed in future. The programmes and activities will prepare the students academically and socially. The aim is to build future leaders.
This is a collaboration between the team at the Social Project and Leesaw Solutions and Projects.
