Ad-Tech Company, paying college students to study.

  • The only physical medium capable of delivering on campus advertising.
  • Businesses can monitor real-time impressions on campus.
  • Student get paid to study in high-traffic areas.

Our goal is to connect college students to advertisers. Students download our app from the app store, apply one of our vinyl ads to their laptops and get paid to open their computer on campus.

Frapz leases the backs of college students’ laptops for 3rd party advertisers then pay the students’ per minute their laptops are open in high traffic areas on campus. We do this because campuses across the nation have advertising polices that prohibit advertisers from getting on campus. We circumvent these polices through leasing personal property. Frapz is paying college students across the nation to study and have their laptop open on campus.

Frapz Advertising utilizes the current advertising policies of universities and colleges throughout the country. These policies state that no private entity (small businesses or corporations) are allowed to advertise by traditional means (ie. yard signs, posters, or flyers) on their campuses. These policies for years have deterred small businesses and corporations for accessing the 18 to 24 year old college market. Thus leaving the companies with only few avenues (ie. social media, email, website banner advertisements, etc.) to reach this valuable market. Frapz Advertising bypasses these advertising policies by utilizing student’s personal property (ie. laptops, tablets, phones, etc.) as a medium of advertising. Frapz Advertising does this by renting the backs of students devices and placing an advertisement on it. This advertisement is then taken with the “carrier” (person leasing the device space) this advertisement is then seen by thousands throughout the course of their typical day. This allows Frapz Advertising to provide companies advertising on and around college campuses. In this way Frapz Advertising can circumvent college’s advertising policies. This new medium also allows for a more interactive way of advertising between clients of Frapz Advertising and their respective carriers. By using this means of advertising companies can create lasting relationships with their carriers and other students. Frapz Advertising’s target market is specifically the 18 to 24 year old college market, therefore companies no longer need to have expensive advertising campaigns by means of traditional advertising mediums in order to get this demographic. Frapz Advertising also offer both physical and digital advertising mediums (our physical carrier Frapz advertisement and frapz.net carrier web interface) unlike other advertising companies that are either user dependent (Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.) or are strictly physical (billboard companies, event advertisements) unlike anything ever done before Frapz Advertising offers clients the ability to track their advertisements within their respective campuses. Clients can also promote their products and services through our digital system allowing carriers to trade and gift those promotions between one another. Lastly Frapz Advertising is capable of providing advertising on campuses around the country and world.

All day, everyday, students are bombarded with digital, banner ads on their preferred social media channels. The banner ad is now 18 years old and has become a symbol of all that is wrong with online advertising. Typically, these ads lack creativity and are viewed as intrusions on students’ digital platforms. Consequently, banner ads are often ignored.

Statistics regarding banner ads by Comscore, GoldSpot & Solve Media:(1)

a. The typical Internet user is served 1,707 banner ads per month

b. An estimated 31 percent of banner ads can’t be viewed by users

c. You are more likely to survive a plane crash than click a banner ad

d. Up to 50% of clicks on mobile banner ads are accidental

Statistics regarding ad blocking by fairpage.com:(2)

a. Today, there are over 198 million active ad-block users globally

b. Ad-blocking grew by 41% globally in the last 12 months

College students are no exception to the ad-blocking trend. The combination of ad-blocking technologies and outdated banner ads make many current digital advertising campaigns increasingly ineffective.

At Frapz, we believe that the way to truly affect students’ buying behavior and brand loyalty every day is through physical advertising. By leasing the back of a students laptop, we are able to turn it into a mobile billboard on campus. The student is paid on the cent per minute to be in high-traffic areas on campus.

How will you use this funding?

Frapz will use the funding to finish out the development of our mobile and web application (75% Complete). Furthermore, Frapz will use the funding for marketing to businesses and students. Frapz must continue building its network with agencies, moving to New York (Madison Ave) has been considered.
