The Telegraph stated that Bedlam Pilsner ‘manages to achieve something mass-market lagers can only dream of’. Since re-launching last year, Bedlam Brewery has 85% year-on-year sales growth as it now supplies a national drinks wholesaler, Greene King PLC, Marriott and over 200 independent accounts.
Since incorporating in 2011, we’ve always had the dream to brew ‘great’ beer. In February 2015 we decided to re-launch the brand as Bedlam Brewery at “Craft Beer Rising”, and we have seen sales and recognition grow ever since. Adrian Tierney-Jones has written in his Daily Telegraph Food & Drink column, that Bedlam Pilsner was “one of the best 10 keg beers to try” alongside Brewdogs latest effort. Our aim is to widely introduce the beauty of pure style beers. In a brewery scene where we believe everyone is rushing to push boundaries, we feel that we are revelling in the balance and nuanced subtlety of great beer styles.
We brew classic brews from Pale Ales and Pilsner through to Best Bitters and Porter, but do so in a way that supports our environmental ethics and credentials. Our brewery operation is powered by Solar energy. We also grow the crops ourselves for the “Harvest” brew right next to the brewery, whilst then recycling our spent grains by giving them for free to a local dairy farm.
Whilst the majority of our sales are directly sold and delivered, we have recently secured additional distribution through Matthew Clark, a national drinks wholesaler, with over 200 years’ experience supplying drink products. We also supply directly to companies such as Greene King PLC, Marriot and Hospitality Inns, as well as over 200 independent accounts since our re-launch.
