Traditional e-commerce and other retailers must maintain inventories, pay for advertising, employees, insurances, and all the normal costs of running a business. All those costs get added in to the price , you as the consumer pay for an item. They add only cost, and no real value. As a member, the amount you pay in markup is limited to 5% plus the cost of the merchandise. This allows you to buy more, buy better, and still save money. Compared to the major internet players and retailers, Just Above Cost will save you up to 35% or more. But not only do you save money, you have a much larger selection of products available, in most cases the entire supplier’s product line, not just what a retailer thinks will sell.

As Company’s Co-Chief Executive Officer,, Thomas is responsible for the company’s web development and IT efforts as well as contract negotiations. Prior to co-founding JAC, Thomas was the founder and Owner of DirectBuy of Lehigh Valley, a leading home improvement and furnishing club that offers merchandise at manufacturers’ cost. As the owner, Thomas was responsible for sales and marketing, operations, service, warehousing and distribution of consumer products. Thomas managed approximately 32 full time employees and independent representatives throughout Lehigh Valley, and was instrumental in growing sales to over $10 million. Prior to founding DirectBuy, Thomas spent over 3 years as an architect of software development for Photuris, Inc. While at Photuris, Thomas saved the company $1 million in software/hardware expenses by developing a fully traceable product and test line in-house, which eliminated the necessity of a large commercial-scale ERP/MRP system.
Michael J. Seiler
In this capacity, Michael is responsible for the company’s near-term and long-term strategic vision as well as sales and marketing. Prior to co-founding JAC, Michael was the founder and Co-Owner of DirectBuy of New Orleans, a leading home improvement and furnishing club that offers merchandise at manufacturers’ cost. As the owner, Michael was responsible for membership sales, advertising, marketing, call center management, member services, accounting, and warehouse shipping, receiving and deliveries. Mike managed a staff approximately 35 full time employees and independent representatives throughout eight parishes in Southeast Louisiana. At its peak, Michael grew sales to over $12 million. Prior to founding DirectBuy, Michael spent over 3 years as Regional Director for Jani-King of New Orleans. While at Jani-King, Michael managed a Jani-King master franchise, with 163 franchise owners serving over 1000 customers in 11 parishes billing in excess of $12 million annually.

Jack L. Gagan
Jack L. Gagan is a career veteran in the home furnishings and home improvement industries. He is a leading authority in the alternative distribution business. In the course of his 30 year career Jack developed relationships with more than 1,000 brand name manufacturers and their authorized suppliers from around the world. Many of these companies continue to service DirectBuy®, a unique membership buyer’s club business. Upon retiring, he currently consults as a merchandising innovator at JACKGAGAN.COM working on special projects with companies on a global basis developing products for the North American market.
Consulting Information Technology
Chris Craddock is a software industry veteran with more than thirty years of experience as a technology leader and influencer of software product development and IT services projects for some of the largest players in the web, cloud and ecommerce space. Chris is currently Principal DevOps Architect in the Office of the CTO at Intuit where he is focused on cloud hosting for the Intuit product family. Prior to joining Intuit, Chris was Principal Infrastructure Architect at Salesforce.com where he was responsible for automation of the Salesforce cloud infrastructure. Prior to that he served as a Chief Architect in the Hewlett-Packard Office of Strategy and Technology for four years during which he led the technology organization for a ground up redevelopment of HP.com and later, he led the redevelopment of the USPS.com commerce site. Chris is working with Just Above Cost, LLC in a senior advisory role specializing in the areas of technology and e-commerce deployment.
