We make educational technology for chess using science-based principles and gamification.

Learning chess can be difficult and is still mainly done by traditional methods, watching videos and reading books. While some players, especially chess masters, have effectively used these methods, the majority of chess enthusiasts struggle to do so and therefore do not improve.
We use scientific principles from educational psychology and neuroscience to make learning chess easier for everyone. We combine our tools with gamification to not only make learning as efficient as possible, but also fun and engaging.
For a full description of some of the principles we use, please read our science page at https://www.chessable.com/science. Moreover, as we grow, we aim to develop unique insights from our own data that will be useful not only across chess development (from juniors to masters), but also relevant in the larger edtech industry and education in general.
