My name is Marshawn Howard and I’m a San Francisco Bay Area native, who grew up in Southern California raised in the Bay Area. My grandmother would wake us up early to clean her house while she cooked, mostly everything from scratch. My passion for cooking came later on in life when I was sentence to a 7 year federal bid. There I learned how to make homemade pizza dough, ice cream, icy, cheese cakes, and other fried foods, all with a microwave. I’ve done a 10 week culinary training at Saint Vincent DE Paul, and now I’m currently enrolled at Laney College in Oakland, CA.

After coming home from a 7 year federal prison stay I decided that culinary was my calling I quickly enrolled in the kitchen of Champions at Saint Vincent De Paul Oakland ca. As I was learning my safety codes, time temperatures, and knife skills I started to cook meals and take them to the halfway where I resided for 10 months. Seeing the small success and receiving great feed back, on our dinner plates I continued to study culinary thru Laney College I’m currently in my second semester of college.
One night while at work I was brainstorming up names for a catering company, but I wanted to incorporate a family based name because my kids love to eat and help me cook, so between the those 5 plus me, we all have the same initial and that’s how M6 FOOD & CATERING was born and will continue to live on thru a new generation of Chef Howards to be. Since then I’ve delivered over 200 lunches and dinners plates over the weekends, I’ve had two catering events my very first one was at Bank of America, where I severed Grilled Chicken Southwest vegetables, Spanish Rice, and an Strawberry Cheesecake for dessert.
Up to date we hosted our very first pop – up in tracy selling Fried Chicken And Red Devil Waffles.
M6 Food & Cater, caters to your local moms and pops we have so far delivered over 1000 lunch and dinners through out the bay area. I done two local Catering job at BOFA , My specialty is my BBQ, and my assorted cheesecakes. Ive also just finished an event where I sold over a hundred Chicken and Waffle plates.
