Solarable is an IoT monitor and forecaster for solar & wind generators. It tracks your renewable energy budget and sends mobile alerts.
Solarable is an IoT device that monitors Solar Generator or Wind Generator performance. With its on-board LCD, and iOS and Android apps, it provides:
Solar and wind power are becoming more important as reliable and renewable forms of energy. However, there is currently no way to monitor solar and wind generators and provide information, and remote notifications, based on weather, generation and system demand.
The Solarable provides these indicators so users can reliably power their homes, RV’s, cabins, tiny homes, and remote pumps and motors.
The Solarable can send alerts and in-app notifications based on changing weather forecasts, power consumption and battery levels.
The Solarable can be used anywhere you have a Solar or Wind Generator:
The Solarable runs off the power from your Solar or Wind Generator. The Solarable connects easily to your Solar or Wind Generator in 8 steps. A detailed installation video will be provided with the Solarable App.
The Solarable comes in two different models, Cellular and Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi model uses the Internet to send and receive data, alerts and notifications to the user about the users Solar Generator status. After the 1st year, an annual subscription of $19.99 USD will be needed in order to receive alert notifications, solar and wind budget predictions and view past history. The 1st year’s subscription is included with the purchase of the Solarable.
The Cellular Model uses cell networks to connect to the Internet to send and receive data, alerts and notifications to the user about the user solar generator status. After the 1st year, an annual subscription of $49.99 USD will be needed in order to receive data on devices, alert notifications and view past history. The monthly data plan is included in the subscription. The 1st year’s subscription is included with the purchase of the Solarable.
If you choose not to pay for the monthly mobile device subscription, you can still use the Solarable’s LCD display to view your Solar/Wind Generator status. Solar/Wind generation forecasting based on weather will not be available along with weather information if the you don’t elect to continue the annual mobile device subscription. Additionally, the mobile devices will not receive any information from the Solarable.
The Solarable Cellular model uses a comprehensive network of carriers to provide service in over 100 countries.
The Solarable requires an iOS or Android device for the Solarable App. This is used to log in and setup up the Solarable. Additionally, the Solarable needs a solar or wind generator to work. This includes, solar panels or wind turbine, inverter, batteries and controller.
Several prototypes have been built with all components and sensors working when connected to Solar Generators. The prototypes display and send data to our cloud servers with all telemetry from a solar generator to a mobile device.
The Solarable enclosure prototype has been designed, built and tested.
The Solarable comes with a free mobile app, which we will simultaneously release, that displays all the information in realtime. Optionally, you can have a Solarable with a cellular radio, so data can be sent via cellular data network.
Our prototypes have been built and tested, and most importantly production design and manufacturing is being worked on every day. We will have all of our manufacturing sourced by November 2016 and plan on beginning our manufacturing January 2017.
Designed, Developed and Assembled in the U.S.A.
We have worked very hard to control the quality of the Solarable to meet strict quality standards. All design, development and assembly of the Solarable is being done in the Phoenix area. While we can’t procure all the electrical components from the USA, our state-of-the-art printed circuit boards (PCBs) are manufactured and assembled in the USA. We can ensure that each PCB is designed, assembled and thoroughly tested in Phoenix, AZ.
We have many years experience designing, developing and testing firmware and software. All software and firmware for the Solarable and its related systems are designed, developed and tested in the Phoenix, AZ area.
The Solarable is past its prototype stage and now moving to printed circuit board testing and Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Certification. After UL Certification, we will fully ramp up our selected Contract Manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ and begin assembly of the Solarable to meet the estimated delivery dates.
We’ve done our very best to forecast demand and create a solid production plan. We are working with some of the most experienced Contract Manufacturers to ensure supply chain readiness. We will be in regular communication with our backers and should a delay in the timeline occur, we will immediately notify everyone.
Supply Chain Risk
We’ve spent the last 4 months building a very capable team who will work hard to ensure smooth delivery of the Solarable. However, component delays and unexpected shortages can occur. If this happens, we’ll be sure to keep you informed and work to quickly solve the problem.
