Business Description
TekFire Solutions offers Computer Repair and IT Consulting services to Residential and Small Business customers. As a Veteran, I started this business because I had left the Military with a certain skillset and drive that led me to want to start my own Technology business. I also wanted the opportunity to use and learn with cutting-edge and new technology. This was something I learned most businesses, unless they were in that field of business, did not condone. I have always been able to see “Outside of the box” and I can see how new technology can fit into a certain aspect of business. Because of this, I knew I had to strike out on my own and I thus I created TekFire Solutions. We are still a small start-up, but has hopes of growing bigger. We see mostly computer repair, virus removals, and tune-ups. We also offer Data Recovery services in-house, and partner with a larger company for more advanced recovery. We also offer consulting and installation services for Small to Medium Businesses, where we will evaluate their current setup, and offer solutions for them to improve their business efficiency through technology. We will soon offer Managed Services to customers who want us to monitor and manage their Anti-virus, backup systems, and software patching. These services will alleviate some of the problems businesses run into because they don’t have the ability to monitor themselves, or just don’t want that responsibility. My goal for the business in the future is to expand my customer base, and be able to support larger clients. I want to hire on a few more technicians, especially some that have specialized skills. There is also the opportunity, as a Veteran Owned Business, to secure one of the small percentage of Federal contracts reserved for VOBs.
What is the purpose of this loan?
I will be able to expand my marketing and focus more on SMB clients. I will then be able to support larger companies that have more complicated network infrastructure. With more advanced software tools, I will be able to support more clients at one time, by having the ability to run multiple scans on computers simultaneously, but being able to remote in to computers at other locations, and to offer more advanced services. This will allow me to offer Managed Services to clients, and bring in recurring revenue.
