Siai’s story

My name is Siai and I grew up in Hunters point Ca known to others as the ghetto. I am of Samoan desent and am the first one in my family to graduate college and start a business. I’ve been married for 11 years and have two kids. I opened this business to help people fell better about themselves and their skin because I was bullied in high school for my eczema. I’ve gotten the opportunity to rent a facility to conduct business. This loan would help me to cover the rent and to help expand my business. My dreams for the future is to open my own skin care and makeup school and help others follow their dreams in the industry!

This loan is special because:

It supports a community-focused entrepreneur looking to expand her skin care services.

More about this loan

Business Description

My business helps people with skin care and the treatment of acne and hyper pigmentation. We also apply eyelash extensions and offer full body waxing.

Since I was bullied in high school I always wanted to help people treat their skin conditions and that’s when I knew I wanted to have my business. The biggest challenge was getting through school, taking care of kids and working full time to support my family.

My goal is to one day open my own skincare and makeup school and to be able to teach others. I’m most proud of the fact that my business in the first Polynesian owned skin care and makeup company in the state of California. I’ve began the path for future entrepreneurs in the Polynesian Community.

What is the purpose of this loan?
