Virginia is an extremely hardworking woman. She is known to everyone as Viky and has established a family with Benito. With the firm intention of providing a better quality of life for her family, Viky has been producing and selling hammocks, rocking chairs, and cots for the past nine years. The income she earns helps to cover the household expenses and reinvest in thread and thimbles. She has also incorporated the sale of wooden furniture so that she can pay for the labor provided by prisoners. Doña Viky currently visits the prison once a week to sell thread and to weave hammocks, seats, and cots using her perfect technique.
For Viky, the loans from VisionFund Mexico have been essential to the growth of her business. For this reason, she is requesting another loan in order to buy high-quality thread, thimbles, wooden supports, blouses, and sandals. She also started a new business four months ago. “I am the happiest woman in the world with all of the great blessings God has given me,” says Viky with great joy.
