Mirovia Networks is Chicagoland’s Cloud Company, providing a full suite of high-speed bandwidth, private cloud and managed services.
Mirovia’s founders launched the Company in early 2012 with a plan to provide a full suite of high-speed bandwidth, private cloud and managed service solutions (data and voice) to businesses throughout the Chicagoland area, all powered by Mirovia’s proprietary fiber network. Mirovia provides end-to-end solutions for companies of any size seeking to move applications into the cloud. We have a Chicago and suburban-based data center, and offer a full range of data backup and recovery services. Mirovia currently has over 30 customers producing approximately $40,000 of monthly recurring revenue.
For our Series B round, we are seeking a total of $1 million, the proceeds from which will be used for sales and marketing resources, general and administrative support and capital expenditures.
Mirovia’s service offering includes custom end to end hosted data and voice services, fiber based Gigabit Ethernet (10 Mb to 100 Gb) transport and a variety of dedicated and virtual hosted services powered by Mirovia’s proprietary fiber network. Mirovia’s IT professionals consult with our customers in the detailed planning, implementation and ongoing management and administration of all bandwidth and cloud services, as well as any internal networking specific to a customer location.
John B. Corrigan brings over 25 years of financial and operations expertise to the Company, the last 15 in the telecommunications and hosted services space. He most recently was CFO of Verascape, a Chicago area applications services provider (ASP) of hosted voice services using state of the art telephony, speech recognition, and text-to-speech technologies serving a variety of industries including catalog, financial services, direct response, and healthcare. John led all aspects of finance and administration and was instrumental in raising over $20 million in equity and debt capital. Prior to Verascape, John was the CFO for InterAccess, an early stage Chicago based Internet Service Provider (ISP). John was instrumental in building the company from 7 employees with $1.0 million in annual revenue in 1995 to 90 employees and approximately $15 million in annual revenue before merging the company with Allegiance Telecom in June 2000 at a 15x EBITDA multiple.
David M. Cushing has over 22 years of experience at various executive roles in telecommunications. As Vice President with Zayo Group, he was responsible for profit and loss for a three-state region selling and supporting customers of the company’s fiber services. As Executive Director for TelNet he ran day-to-day technical support and provisioning, customer service operations, and accounting operations for this Michigan-based CLEC. As a VP and GM of Focal Communications Corp. a Chicago-based CLEC, Dave worked alongside the founding partners to build switching and data centers, install interconnection networks and carrier billing validation and implement back-office systems and processes to support customer billing, provisioning and support in twenty markets nationwide.
