Jean Fritzner’s story

Jean Fritzner is an energetic man who believes in a better future and works hard every day to realise his dreams.

One day, he decided to start a business selling upgraded stoves. He changes strategies regularly to see which strategy works best during different periods of the year. With this in mind, he has decided that a three wheel scooter to help him transport his stoves would be much better and would be a big step towards him meeting his goal of selling 150 stoves a month. He is calling on Kiva’s help to not only increase his stock, but also to buy the scooter.

A jovial, welcoming, dynamic, and committed man, he thinks that, with his assets, he will be able to reach his goals if Kiva awards him this loan.

More about this loan

This loan enables distributors of efficient cookstoves in Haiti access to a leased vehicle (usually a motor-tricycle). Health and vehicle insurance are also provided, so distributors are only responsible for gas and maintenance. It gives distributors improved market access, increases the amount of inventory they can carry, and allows them to attract more customers. This loan works as micro-leasing, with the vehicle remaining in D&E´s balance sheet until the loan is fully repaid. By supporting this loan you are helping more people have access to efficient cookstoves in Haiti.
