My name is Savannah Aily Jackson. I am 45 years old. My love and passion for horses began when my father put me on a horse and taught me to ride in my very early childhood. When I was thirteen, he gave me my first horse, a retired track thoroughbred named Steele, who came with me to Oregon State University in Corvallis where I majored in Pre-Veterinary medicine, emphasis in equine. My plan to pursue rehabilitative and preventive sports medicine for the top equine athletes was tragically derailed in my junior year upon the untimely death of my father. In the difficult years after my father’s passing, I explored new avenues which taught me a lot about sports medicine, horses and being an athlete. I became an avid rock climber and eventually an international athlete competing in the Eco Challenge in Borneo, Fiji, Nova Scotia and British Virgin Islands. I even came close to losing my life in one and again just 6 months later in a major ski patrolling accident. These intense and life changing events proved to be the crucible which returned me full time to my passion of horses. In 1998 I attended a private curriculum for Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique for horses in Seattle, and also many courses through Equinology; to learn the methods in preventive sports medicine and horse wellness to rehabilitate horses who suffer from chronic inflammation and pain. I went back to riding professionally full time, and studied how horses needed to be able to move and perform freely to do the jobs being asked of them and also to prevent major accidents, health crisis, and injury for both horse and rider. I also studied and worked closely with many veterinarians, horse health experts, world level trainers and learned alternative therapies. I then combined all of this knowledge and experience and developed an entirely unique and proprietary system of health and longevity I call Elevates Equine Lifetime Soundness. Currently I live in South Lake Tahoe, CA and teach my system of horse health and horsemanship in the Bay area. I do regularly scheduled demonstrations, talks and clinics at Stanford University and environs. My plan is to develop a school and have this system be an accredited, endorsed and recognized health method that can be taught and practiced worldwide in schools, universities and equine programs.
