Our software connects researchers with manufacturers for enhanced access to the tools and information needed to do great science!
About this project
Get Affordable Validation For Your Experiments. Support the Software That Is Helping Researchers Shape The Future of Medical Science.
Save Our Science With One World Lab
OWL’s Beta Save Our Science (SOS) Software offers you access to $50 sample size antibodies and reagents through its platform that supports an online community where you can collaborate with other researchers in your field.
The beta version of our SOS Software is available online here and gives scientists:
Direct Access to Manufacturers
Manufacturers not only know the most about their products, but most of them are scientists, too. By giving researchers the ability to communicate with manufacturers we are helping to reduce optimization time while ensuring that researchers are getting the guidance necessary to generate the best data possible.
Increasing Reproducibility Between Experiments
The crowd-sourced validation will eliminate redundant testing and prove where products work and don’t under specific experimental conditions. The net effect will be the culling of bad products and improving the overall quality for the entire industry allowing us to advance at a fraction of the time and cost.
In The Save Our Science Community You Can
- List functions for each lab member – Create Lab Groups
- Share sensitive data securely and privately with lab members and collaborators
- Ask a question directly to lab members, collaborators, manufacturers, etc.
- It’s a huge resource for the entire community…
Why is OWL’s Save Our Science Community So Important?
The Reproducibility Crisis
We are facing an unprecedented amount of published research that can’t be reproduced in other labs adversely affecting the rate of medical breakthroughs costing billions of dollars each year in the US alone.
Published Research Can’t Be Reproduced
The major contributor to the crisis are the biological reagents used in research. The cause behind this problem is the amount of relabeled content being resold in the marketplace.
Most suppliers make a very small percentage of the products they sell to researchers and some suppliers make nothing at all. The major problem that results from this obscurity is the active switching of manufacturers just for the suppliers’ profit. The new manufacturer’s reagents might not work the same and the researchers are never notified of the switch.
A Collaborative Community Shaping Medical Science
OWL Has Been Helping Researchers Save Time And Money Since 2012
Most researchers do not know who manufacturers the products they use so sourcing products becomes a guessing game and many failed experiments are the unfortunate result. Since 2012 OWL has been providing its unique solution by only representing original manufacturers and their unique content. Also reducing the price of the reagents by providing a sample size allowing researchers to do more with their tight budgets… and not just helping them find what works, but what works best. Currently, OWL is supporting over 40,000 researchers.
One World Lab already provides its service to most of the leading research institutions worldwide and represents 45 manufacturers, currently. This is revolutionizing the entire biomedical community.
What We Need To Help Advance Research Faster (We are so close!)
- Backend developer – $20,000 for building out the relational tables and database.
- Frontend developer – $20,000 for building the graphical user interface
- Graphic designer – $10,000 to create the best user experience
- Server architect – $5,000 to setup the load balancers and security protocols to scale quickly
- Project management – $5,000 to check in the code and make sure each team is meeting their milestones

The Team Supporting The Save Our Science Online Community
Every dollar contributed helps saves researchers’ time and money. A $5 pledge goes far with One World Lab and puts your name on the Donor Wall.
For a $10 pledge not only helps launch the Save Our Science software, but gives you a permanent keep sake to keep on your lab bench or fridge.
For a $20 pledge you receive the powerful Talon Tool that is essential for removing accessing your sample tube and producing publishable data.
For a $30 pledge you will receive the Owlie Kwot doll and comic strip to know you are helping researchers everywhere find a better path to success.
For a $45 pledge you will receive a custom designed t-shirt that will show everyone around you that you have style and love science.
For a $120 pledge be the envy of your lab and know that this lab coat will help you get closer to publishing in a high impact journal.
For a $300 pledge sponsor a scientist with a custom panel of 3 antibodies for a scientist and receive a full report of the scientist and her or his research. You can specify the area of research or researcher you would like your reward to go.
For a $1500 pledge you can sponsor a scientist to receive a pass to attend a conference. You will receive a report about the scientist and his or her research to be presented. You can specify the area of research or researcher you would like your reward to go.
For a $5000 pledge you will spend the day with One World Lab’s founders visiting the famous breweries and science institutions that San Diego is known for throughout the world. You will also become an honorary member of One World Lab’s board of advisors and learn about the big vision of our comapany.

Risks and challenges
ADOPTION BY THE MANUFACTURERS
The most concerning risk is not having the majority of manufacturers join the One World Lab platform. This would diminish the ability for researchers to gain access to all the tools they need to do their experiments and the knowledge that could be derived.
One World Lab is addressing this problem by giving manufacturers the one thing that they need – access to their users. It turns out that most companies do not know the users of their products because the buyers are the only people associated with the orders. One World Lab bypass this barrier through the review section where only the users are submitting results and the Q&A section on the product page. We are truly tapping into enormous potential by bringing these groups together.
ADOPTION BY THE RESEARCHERS
This brings up the corrollary risk of researchers not using the sofware to communicate with the manufacturers. We are offsetting this risk by offering sample sizes creating more affordability and value for researchers who use our software. The other value add is the transparency that gives researchers the assurance that they are able to get consistent results overtime and reprdocubility for others repeating their work. The final incentive we provide to our users are discounts and points that they earn through the interactions they have using the software. Not to mention that research is often times lonely and allowing researchers to connect with their peers over the daily grind will be rewarding an probably therapeutic.
Our success comes down to operational excellence, great customer service, and savvy software engineers. Fortunately, we’ve been doing this for over four years and have great contacts within the industry who are waiting to be part of our success as we scale. I guarantee we have the dedication and passion to attract the best talent to making this connected and transparent biomedical industry a reality.
