Subscription E-Commerce for “Geeks”
eCommerce

Geek Fuel is a monthly subscription box service catering to the “geek” community.
Each box contains 6 to 9 carefully curated items that revolve around cult classic games, TV shows, and comic books.
These items include downloadable games, exclusive T-shirts, posters and prints, comic books, and “bobbleheads” from characters such as Doctor Who.
Geek and gamer culture has entered the mainstream. In fact, 7 of the top 10 grossing movies in 2014 were geek related, and video game revenue is expected to pass $110 billion in sales this year (that’s double the size of the movie industry).
Launched in December 2014 with 181 subscribers, it now has more than 4,000 active subscribers in a dozen countries (85% U.S. members) paying an average of $25 per month for their boxes of geek and gamer gear. Each box has a guaranteed value of at least $50.
Cash flow positive in its third month, Geek Fuel had its first $100,000 month in May, after six months of operations.
Since December 2014, it’s done more than $500,000 in sales, and it’s currently growing its subscriber base 60% Month over Month.
It plans to use proceeds from this round for marketing.
