Projecta is an affordable desktop CNC machine optimized for making circuit boards by a new innovative way.
From USA, Europe, China, and from Japan to India; from the Middle East and Hong Kong, we have been looking to find a creative solution for the most critical issue in electronic design: (PCB Fabrication).
When you want to turn your innovation from a mere idea to a real product, you won’t have to spend days in prototyping or weeks waiting for factories in order to see your dream becoming a reality.
Our dream is to print PCB just like printing a paper, and we are now ready to share it with everyone and let you have your own Projecta.
We were working on a different project (that will be coming to the world soon!) with a critical deadline. The project needed a lot of tests and trials, a lot of PCB prototyping, and also money and time. Due to shipment delays, our project deadline was missed, and from these hardships, Projecta was born.
We started to think about a permanent solution for this problem (PCB printing), and we came up with the perfect solution: Projecta.
Projecta is a desktop CNC machine that engraves an ink layer on the surface of the board to make your beautiful PCB designs ready for acid etching and get the resolution achieved by photo-resist dry films but without especial equipment or chemical developers!
Buying an ordinary desktop CNC machine will cost you a lot of money, so we designed the machine with our special spindle to make the price so affordable for everyone.
Plus, in comparison with other PCB methods, Projecta will always be on top of the competition, as it doesn’t require any special tools or materials to produce, and so the running cost is always a BIG ZERO.
The machine is directed to all those who make PCB starting from students and home-inventors to professional engineers.
Working with old-school methods for PCB fabrication, you will take a lot of time working on your PCB, developing a film or transferring the ink, which may take a “while,” while Projecta can make your PCB in minutes.
No conductive ink for the 3D printer, no photo resist films and developers, no Laminators, or any other material that you always have to buy to make a PCB. All you need is a simple marker that will last for a large number of PCBs
Projecta is quiet and clean, no effort that will exhaust you in the clean-up process after every PCB. Print and Go with Projecta.
To ensure safety and stability Projecta has an auto-lock that will lock the drawer when it’s working
From now you don’t have to develop films or count seconds on the laminator, the iron is back to its original job of ironing clothes. Give the PCB to Projecta and it knows what to do.
Most PCB methods require a lot of steps, a special place to work in, experience with chemicals ..etc
Projecta just requires a USB cable and some clicks on buttons. Simple and easy to use!
Projecta’s software will deliver the print jobs to the machine to store in internal memory, allowing the machine to continue without being tethered to a computer.
Here’s a video showing the whole process of Projecta in real time.
We cover the PCB board with any available metallic marker (instead of photoresist films) and inside the machine there is an engraving bit connected to a mechanical piston which applies pressure while moving in 3 dimensions to engrave the ink layer rather than the copper layer and shape your circuit design on the PCB to produce the same quality and resolution achieved by photoresist dry films in very fast technique (few minutes) then only etching step is left and you got your design.
1- Finish your design on any PCB design software and export Gerber files.
2- Use any tool you are familiar with to generate the engraving code.
3- Color your PCB with the metallic marker and fix it well on the drawer.
4- With the software we will provide you with, download the Code on Projecta. Our special spindle will engrave the design in minutes and when done you will be able to open the drawer and get your PCB.
We are done ^_^
*Projecta is made of plastic so its body is almost weightless. Stepper motors and axis are inside the box.
*Projecta works with USB interface for maximum ease of use.
*PCB minimum specifications are as follows:
*Minimum trace width: 0.2mm
*Minimum clearance: 0.3mm
*Allowed PCB thickness: 0.2mm-4mm
*Allowed PCB layers: 2 layers
*Working area: 200mm * 150mm
*Machine dimensions: 35cm*30cm*25cm
* Controlled by ARM Cortex-M4
When you buy your own Projecta from kickstarter you are not just saving about 150$-30$ in comparison with the estimated retail price, But you also gain the opportunity to get a limited number special edition of Projecta that will be available only on kickstarter.
The special edition backers will be able to freely choose the color of their Projectas from this set (Red, Green, Blue, and elective color)
Backers will have the opportunity to take part in the campaign and choose the fourth color of special edition colors, the vote is among (Yellow, Orange, Pink, and Purple), Special edition backers can choose the winner color to be the color of their own Projecta.
Let’s compare Projecta to other PCB fabrication method to figure out why Projecta is the best solution for you?
We are embedded system engineers aiming to mix innovation with embedded Systems to make smart technology more efficient and effective in people life so we traveled to India and got SION semiconductor certificate.
In India we worked with the world industry leaders and met with the best, and today we are ready to Kickstart our own story and share our vision with the world to make it a better place.

Challenges !! We are READY for You !
* In hardware, nothing goes as planned.
Although we have good experience in our field, hardware has its way to surprise you with new problems, our prototypes are promising so if we faced any problem we will be able to handle it quickly and of course we will let you know.
* Shipping delays.
We are shipping a very precious piece of art, we will make sure that you are going to receive it on time, however agencies may have some delays due to any problem.
We are dealing with the best, however if any delay or shift in delivery dates will occur we’ll update immediately.
*Software problems.
Although we are at a good point in our software, and we have no problems showing up so far, we have a backup plan with professional software developers if any problem appeared.
*Assembly and Quality Assurance
This is not our first CNC machine, and we are using the best components available to make sure that the quality of your machine is meeting your expectations.
Every part in projecta will be tested many times by our hands before it takes the next flight to you, this may take a bit of time but it also ensures a perfect machine working over years .
