Emily Blue, pop artist in Chicago, IL, needs help to release her first EP. 75% of funds + ALL profits go to RACES, rape crisis center!
THE PROJECT / CAUSE:
Emily Blue is a pop artist from Chicago IL, currently preparing to release her first solo EP, “Another Angry Woman.” This EP comes from an extremely personal place, surrounding themes such as sexual violence, womanhood, and being a survivor. All of the profits from the EP will go towards RACES, a rape crisis center at the University of Illinois that has been severely impacted by the budget crisis.
Emily has already finished recording the EP, but needs your help to push it towards success. As an independent artist, funds can be tight, so she is trying to raise some money to cover the remaining costs of production. These songs are not only important to her as a survivor of sexual violence, but they also are a means to give funding to a vital resource in the UIUC community.
WHERE YOUR MONEY WILL GO:
850 dollars will go towards covering the cost of mastering, video, and physical copies.
The remaining 2500? Straight to RACES. Her goal is to raise 2500 total for RACES, but more is always possible.
It’s up to us to get RACES some funding when the state refuses to, so share with all your friends and donate donate donate!!
Some challenges? Simply, not making our goal. It would be a blow to the whole album’s completion, but also a missed opportunity to help keep the doors (and phone lines) of RACES open. Remember, this album’s profits will go to RACES until the end of time. It is therefore highly appreciated to have even a small donation, because we’re in this together!!
