Frigoteca Kwá Non is a project integrated in the Spirit’16 powered by WACT – a Portuguese NGO, focused on the development and implementation of social projects in Sao Tome e Principe. This is a project designed by the Cafuka Plataform Association, which will be implemented by WACT volunteers.
The aim of this project is to create a space for education, reading and leisure around a recycled fridge. The space and fridge will not only hold/keep the books, but will also provide non formal educational activities to feed and refresh the most curious minds.
During the 3 months on land, there will be activities for children with ages between 8 and 14, as well as the transformation and recycle activities around the old fridges. The entire population of the three communities of Agostinho Neto (Rio de Ouro), Guadalupe and Canavial will be able to access those libraries for free.
All the transformation, management and maintenance activities will be performed by some chosen members of the local population once the volunteers return from SãoTomé e PríncipeTome e Principe.
