Alison Cook Beatty Dance @ Gibney Dance POP

We’ve got a plan for an amazing performance series in Manhattan this November at Gibney Dance Theater. Please help bring it to life!

About this project

Alison Cook Beatty Dance is an NYC-based contemporary dance company founded in 2012 that has been hard at work ever since. The company comprises a group of professionally trained dancers from across the world, who collaborate with musicians and visual artists on original works. The mission of Alison Cook Beatty Dance is twofold: to create meaningful art that is accessible to the public, and secondly, to strengthen and improve the communities in which we interact. We need your help and support to bring a fantastic performance to the NYC public!

Alison Cook Beatty Dance was recently awarded a curated performance opportunity withGibney Dance POP Performance Opportunity Project on November 17th through November 20th, 2016. POP serves the dance community by providing space, support, and subsidized rates for performances to non-profit companies and individual dance artists. We went through a competitive application process and were accepted as one of the companies for this season. This is an entirely curated and produced theater performance run in Manhattan, meaning that POP oversees the bulk of the planning in producing, marketing, and running the event.

Bringing a dance to the public is a worthwhile but expensive endeavor. With your support, we can bring this show to life and put on a public dance performance series this November! Our Kickstarter goal is $3,000, to help with the theater, production, and dancer expenses that go into putting on this show in November.

Whether it’s $10, $27, $100, or $1,000, we ask for your support. This awarded project has a detailed plan and vision in place, but we need community support to put the wheels in motion!

Please support the arts and the dancers that dedicate their lives and careers to their craft for the public good.

All contributions are TAX DEDUCTIBLE to the fullest extent permitted by law. Alison Cook Beatty Dance is a fiscally sponsored organization with Fractured Atlas with pending 501c3 status.
