Poultry Light – PoultryLED
LED lamp replacement designed specifically for chicken broiler production. This product is designed as a simple screw-in replacement for existing sockets. This is a direct replacement for current incandescent bulbs (70% of sockets) or, CFL/Cold Cathode bulbs (30%). Our LED lamp incorporates a proprietary dimming technology that can save a grower over 80% of his lighting costs. Current incandescent or CFL options are not good solutions as they are either inefficient or do not stand up in this harsh environment. The PoultryLED is made to withstand years of service in the harsh broiler operation.
Linear LED / Fluorescent Replacements
Linear LED is used as replacement for fluorescents which are commonly found in use in commercial/government buildings including schools, offices, retail, etc. and homes, workshops, garages. Product development includes 4ft finished product and then 2ft sizes. Our external driver configuration ensures improved performance in terms of both safety and efficiency. Typical installations have generally resulted in 25-50% reduction in lamp required. Other future developments include various sizes and colors and advanced driver for function.
High Bright Lighting (outdoor: street/parking/high bay/low bay)
LED exterior lamps for roadways, parking lots, gas/convenient stores, facilities,etc. These products are designed to replace inefficient Metal Halide, mercury vapor and sodium lamps. Utilizing our HB products can save 80% of energy costs while providing a higher quality of delivered light and enhancing safety. Reduction in maintenance costs is significant for these end users. This component based approach to fixture design allows multiple applications and growing customer acceptance due to long term service-ability and potential upgrade-ability.
Product includes general commercial LED lighting product developed, co-developed or sourced to satisfy core customers and end-user needs and demand. Products include general illumination – G70, PAR lamps, and MR16 lamps. Offerings in this category can be broad in assortment.

Christopher R. Callahan
A 30 year retail management executive. Started career in 1979 and served various roles at KMart Corp for 11 years. In 1990 he began his MBA experience when he joined Wal-Mart in Arkansas. He worked as buyer,VP-Store Design,Direct Imports and Merchandising. In 2004 he became Director of Global Procurement based in China. Responsible for all non-apparel sourcing he led a team of 400 direct associates,in 28 offices with a P&L $9bil FOB. from over 5000 factories, and 2000 suppliers. In 2005 under his leadership WM Sustainability initiative was launced and integrated throughout the reach of GP. With this background in business and sustainability ,a vision of things to come, he left WM in fall of 2007 and founded NextGen Illumination Inc., based in Fayetteville, Arkansas in spring of 2008.
Vice President Research & Development
Co-Founder and vice president of research and development for Next Gen Illumination Inc. (NGI). Jeff received his MA & MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Arkansas, a BA in History-Magna Cum Laude from Southern Arkansas University, and a certificate from the Electronics Technical Program in Griffin, GA. Jeff is the past chair of the Western Branch-AR Chapter for the USGBC. A Gulf War vet, Jeff served with the 82nd ABNs Military Intel as a Ground Surveillance Systems Operator.
Jeff’s lighting and technical background spans 20+ years. Prior to NGI, Jeff was president of Green Lighting Co, an LED rep firm. Jeff’s clients included McDonald’s Corporate, Ben and Jerry’s, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Dillards, Arvest Bank, Best Western International, and the City of Chicago.
Co-Founder and Director of Administration for NGI. Jerry is a graduate of Kansas University with a double major in History and International Finance and Energy Development.
With 25 years of international business and supply chain management experience, Jerry’s successful entrepreneurial business ventures in Chinese manufacturer supply chain management were enhanced by his in-depth understanding of international finance.
Jerry has spent over 10 years of his career nurturing his energy development education and making use of his international knowledge with McCormick Quality Construction – an exclusive client based turn-key construction company specializing in sustainable construction principles and renewable energy production including active and passive solar and wind energy generation.
President Business Development
Erik Figenskau is Co-Founder, President and Director of Sales and Marketing for NextGen Illumination, Inc. He is responsible for strategic business development, marketing and sales activities. He specializes in brand promotion and partner development, customer acquisition, and product development. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a BS in Marketing.
Erik is a solid marketing professional with 25 years of experience with a focus on buying, account sales, product management, and strategic planning.
