Business Description
My business partners and I always dreamed about opening a business and found an opportunity for doing that by bringing the Brazilian culture to the US. Our goal is to bring the best that the Brazilian culture has to offer to the United States through food. We dream about being able to provide better solutions and options for consumers to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Our first product is the Brazilian Tapioca, which is a crepe-like tortilla made with hydrated tapioca starch. The process is amazingly simple: Sprinkle the flour into a hot pan, and it melts together in minutes to form the tortilla. The tapioca can be used to craft both sweet and savory dishes, depending on the filling used. The Tapioca is made from the cassava root so it is paleo friendly and gluten free. We started the business in the beginning of 2016 and are still in the process of getting all the licenses and registrations in order to operate. Our main challenge has been understanding all the rules regarding a food business, finding the best way and place to manufacture our products and doing all that on a tight budget. Our main goal is to use the loan to invest in our manufacturing process and facility to start distributing the product. We were able to put together a diversified and competent team to build the business, we just need the funds to make it happen so we can bring the Brazilian Tapioca to everyone.
What is the purpose of this loan?
It would enable us to rent our own facility to boost our production and improve our manufacturing process, we would be able to invest in distribution in order to increase our reach, and also have capital to invest in different marketing projects, and R&D development. If we are able to get the loan, it will help a lot with the flow of all operations, our expectation is that with that loan we would be able to close some deals with distributors that would result in over 300 new points of sale for the business.
