Healing Scars we have made on our Earth

Help me Heal by empowering community and children to take ownership of their own health and hunger.

About This Project

Aim: To create a permaculture story garden where the children can sit and listen to stories.

Objective: Empowering a community that they might be able to heal from past wounds and create a better future by investing in the children of the present.

The principles that lie at the root of permaculture are : Earth Care, People Care and Surplus share. These principles are incredibly valuable and it is these principles that I want to ‘plant’ into this school and it’s community by planting the ‘Story Garden’.

Already implemented:

  1. 30th July 2016

We prepared the soil for the permaculture Story Garden on the 30th of July. Each child was given some seeds and we all made a wish upon a dream and sowed the seeds onto the soil. As the seeds grow, so does their wishes. My intention behind this is so that they feel invested into the garden and will naturally want to take good care of it.
