Create SFN Inc. ( Create Something From Nothing)
My name is Dayhanna Acosta; I was born in Medellin Colombia but moved to the United States with my family as a child. Growing up I was not what you called “creative” I could not draw, or make anything with my hands; but I still craved for a creative outlet, a place where my corky personality could shine.
I’m addicted to all things marketing and entrepreneurship.
I started my first business when I was 21 (A fitness boot camp, in case you were wondering) and though I loved fitness, what fascinated me most was learning how to market and grow my business. So I decided to focus on that instead, and I found myself falling into marketing jobs.
I was working as an Executive Assistant in a marketing company, which led to a job as a Marketing Director. This job allowed me to attend marketing conferences, seminars, and trainings, where I learned some amazing stuff! (Also, my weirdness was somehow endearing in my new line of work) I obsessed so much about marketing and business that my weekends were spent: • Teaching myself how to use design software • Speaking in front of a mirror to improve my “speaking skills” • Scanning and analyzing TV commercials and Ads • Attending marketing training and conferences • Reading books and trade journals. • Improving my writing skills with creative writing courses And this is how I turned my passion into a full-time business that I now call Create SFN (Create Something from Nothing).
This loan is special because:
More about this loan
My business is called Create SFN (Create Something from Nothing). Why something from nothing? Because that’s exactly what I had when I started my business. NOTHING. No budget, office or clients, just a simple idea and the willingness to work harder than anyone to see it come to life. It’s been almost a year since I started my business but I could use your help to increase my marketing, recruit new clients, and produce a new small business training course.
My business provides the following services: • Small business coaching and training • Marketing and P.R Services • Online marketing courses for small business owners and nonprofits
What is the purpose of this loan?

• 33% of the KIVA loan will be used to promote our small business courses through Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram as well as purchase a new platform to host our online courses. • 33% will fund the purchase of new office equipment • 34% will help cover operational costs including online software subscriptions and accounting services.
Years in operation: 1 year – 3 years
