Modbook makes the Mac tablet that Apple won’t:
It’s a full-featured, all-in-one “tablet convertible” for a $1.8 billion market of power/creative users eager for workstation-class performance.
Led by a former senior executive of Apple — and advised by Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple — Modbook has established a strong brand with a proven record of manufacturing and shipping Mac-based solutions.
Current customers include NASA, Nike, and Pixar.
Its most recent model, the Pro X, has stirred media and consumer interest:

The company is now raising $500,000 to boost sales and marketing for its latest product launch.
Andreas held various management positions at Apple in Europe, including the Newton Systems Group, Apple’s Portable Product Lines, and Professional Desktop and Server Systems.
He launched the first Mac-based tablet as CEO of Axiotron, which he took public in Toronto in 2008.
Lance is a Former Senior Manager at Accenture, where he worked on a variety of projects for Fortune 500 companies such as Amgen, Nestlé and Nissan Motor Corp.
He’s also the Former Director of Finance and Operations at Axiotron, Inc.
He earned his BSEE, Electrical Engineering, from Purdue University.
