Modbook makes the Mac tablet that Apple won’t:
It’s a full-featured, all-in-one “tablet convertible” for a $1.8 billion market of power/creative users eager for workstation-class performance.
Led by a former senior executive of Apple — and advised by Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple — Modbook has established a strong brand with a proven record of manufacturing and shipping Mac-based solutions.
Current customers include NASA, Nike, and Pixar.
Its most recent model, the Pro X, has stirred media and consumer interest:
As Wozniak said, “… what an incredible device this [Modbook Pro] is.”
As MacWorld wrote: “We have always been impressed by the Modbook. Sturdy and strong. Great for creating design work on the move.”
As TechCrunch wrote: “The hardware is impressive, feels sturdy and durable. The Modbook Pro is a remarkable achievement and perfect for those who demand portability.”
Previously, the company ran a KickStarter campaign where it raised $403,000, making it a Top 100 success in KickStarter technology projects.
The company is now raising $500,000 to boost sales and marketing for its latest product launch.
