I was born and raised in a family of 9 children in zimbabwe, Southern Africa. My parents were very poor but my mother always had some ideas on how to make money and feed the family. She used to sew clothes, knit and crotchet things and sell them. I remember very well that during the winter season she would be so busy with a lot of orders to fulfill especially cardigans, hats and gloves. I learnt to do the same at a very young age. I can still sew, knit and crochet. My mother would go to bed late trying to finish up orders and my older sister and I would help her when we were not in school. She taught us that education was important and that it would take us anywhere and that nobody would take it away from us. I was fortunate enough to go to nursing school which has helped me in so many ways. I helped all my siblings with educations funds. I moved to the US in 2003 with the hopes of a better future for my family. I have not been able to bring my siblings here because of immigration rules but I am thankful because I am able to send them money. I have dreams of helping students from the high school that I attended to achieve their dreams as well. I want to be able to pay for their college education with this business.
