Jayme’s story

In 2014, I started a commercial kitchen facility to specifically designed to help food entrepreneurs realize their dreams of starting their own food businesses. Having owned multiple restaurants myself, I turned that knowledge into putting together all the commercial kitchen equipment necessary for almost anyone to start their own food business and be successful doing it. I purchased all the commercial equipment and small wares & utensils out of my own pocket, and in just a little over 2 years, now I am helping almost 70 food entrepreneurs each month to build their dreams into successful food businesses!

This loan is special because:

It helps expand a commercial kitchen space that supports and empowers food entrepreneurs.

More about this loan

Business Description

Kitchen Spokane is a commercial kitchen that food entrepreneurs can rent by the hour to start their own food businesses. I opened in 2014, with the intention to help all the aspiring food chefs and entrepreneurs in the culinary field to realize their own dreams of starting their own business someday. The biggest challenge was that there were no such businesses in the area at the time, so I had to build the idea into reality from the ground up. My customers are food entrepreneurs that have an idea for a food business but don’t have the money or the location to build begin their idea. Our goal is to expand and build additional locations in multiple cities, where the infrastructure does not exist to allow people to start their own food businesses. I am most proud of seeing how many people I am helping to realize their dreams of starting and owning their own business, and the many jobs these businesses are now creating in the community.

What is the purpose of this loan?
