‘Ok’ is a short film written and directed by Jack Wynne that looks into the pain we can cause ourselves through the supression of our emotions and the acceptance that sometimes in life, it’s ok to not be ok.
This is Jack’s graduating short film from the Victorian College of the Arts and it’s with his dedicated team of student/independent filmmakers and YOU, that we’ll be able to make ‘Ok’ go from the page, to the screen.
‘Ok’ is a reflective drama that follows Tom, a uni student in his early 20’s whose parents have recently seperated. Reeling from the disintegration of his family, Tom interalizes all of his emotions, causing him to withdraw from life.
However, this changes when his outspoken neighbour and childhood crush, Lily, returns from backpacking around Europe. It is with Lily’s help that Tom is able to come to terms with how he actually feels, allowing Tom to move forward with his life.
Shoot Dates: 20-24th of September

The greatest challenge for any student film is funding. Given that students have to fund their films out of their own money, more often than not they have to rely on the passion of their colleagues, the love/support of their families and friends and occasionally on the kindness of strangers.

This is a story that needs to be told. The story that no matter where you are, no matter how old you are and no matter who you are, sometimes it’s ok to not be ok.
